The basic principle in CEDRA’s AVseries soft=
ware
is that the user should operate from =
within
a single computing environment, and with one database. Towards this end, CEDRA has developed: (a) four major applicati=
ons
for the civil engineering and its rel=
ative
communities, and (b) four support products for the overall GIS community, all being extensions to all ArcView GIS=
®
and ArcGIS® versions, and operati=
onal
in both US and SI units.
1.CEDRA-AVparcel
enables the user to create, edit and manage three dimensional topological polygons of parcels for tax mapping, p=
arcel
maintenance and other applications th=
at
manipulate polygons and/or boundary information.
2.CEDRA-AVwater
enables the engineer to define the geometric configuration of a water distribution network, establish the materials
inventory, introduce supply and demand
loads, perform analyses and display pertinent results in graphic and/or =
span>tabular format. CEDRA-AVwater™ interfaces wi=
th the
EPANET™ modelers (Versions 1 an=
d 2),
and can produce various graphs, reports, and plan and profile drawings
3.CEDRA-AVsand
enables the engineer to create the geometric model of a storm water, wastewater or combined system, impose
contributions in various forms, deter=
mine
system adequacy, and produce various graphs, reports, and plan and =
profile drawings. Static, dynamic, and backwater
analyses may be performed with one of=
the
available modelers, CEDRA-AVsand™ or USEPA SWMM.
4.CEDRA-AVland
provides the engineer the ability to design the reshaping of the earth in the form of a roadway, canal, levee, hous=
ing
development, and the like. <=
/span>Its functionality is the topic of this
presentation.
5.CEDRA-AVcad
consists of series of precise graphic editing tools, and is a component of each of the first four products.
=
6.CEDRA-AVcogo
supplements the functionality of CEDRA-AVcad, and it is a component of CEDRA-AVland.
7.CEDRA-DXFexport
enables the user to create a DXF file for the features of all visible themes (shapefiles, personal geodatabases,
enterprise geodatabases and coverages=
) and
text in the current map.
8.CEDRA-DataEditor
facilitates the editing of feature attribute data. It is an ideal tool for those involved with facility maintenance =
and/or
data capture applications, or for tho=
se who
wish to enhance ArcView's native table editing functionality.
